74. The following figures are for GDP growth rates across the ASEM member countries. The figures for the countries referred to as the Asian region, and China were taken from the Asian Development Bank Asia Development Outlook Update 2000.7 The figures for Japan and the EU were taken from the IMF World Economic Outlook 2000.8 The Asian region countries were weighted by GDP as a percentage of group GDP, as per the method used in the World Economic Outlook.
